10月26日,新加坡管理大學由林冠嬅老師率團參訪臺北醫學大學,瞭解臺灣生醫產業發展現況。此行由臺北醫學大學事業發展處蕭育仁事業長接待,並安排參觀該校生醫園區、生醫加速器及biodesign中心,新加坡管理大學代表對台灣生醫發展現況留下深刻印象。
臺北醫學大學事業發展處蕭育仁事業長首先介紹台灣生醫矽谷發展概況。隨後,biodesign中心曾健華執行長以及生醫加速器辜善揚經理分別介紹中心運作模式及扶植新創公司情況。
臺北醫學大學六家新創公司代表也在現場分享發展歷程。包括:醫智健康科技(李友專創辦人)、慧術科技(李宇倢執行長)、神瑞人工智慧科技(張曜吉執行長)、雙和醫院姜振華醫師、大數據科技及管理研究所張詠淳副教授、護理學院黃采薇副院長等創新公司與學研界均運用AI技術為醫療領域帶來創新突破。
雙方就生醫科技發展進行熱烈交流,並表示將持續保持密切聯繫,尋求未來合作契機。是次新加坡管理大學來訪有助加深雙方理解,開拓更廣闊的合作空間。
Taipei Medical University Welcomes Visiting Delegation from Singapore Management University
On October 26th, a delegation from Singapore Management University, led by Professor Vivien Cham, visited Taipei Medical University to gain insights into the current state of the biotechnology industry in Taiwan. The visit was hosted by Mr. Hsiao Yu-Jen, Director of Business Development at Taipei Medical University, who arranged a tour of the university's biomedical campus, biotech accelerator, and biodesign center. The representatives from Singapore Management University were deeply impressed by Taiwan's biotechnology development.
Director Hsiao Yu-Jen from Taipei Medical University's Office of Business Development first provided an overview of Taiwan's biotech hub, often referred to as the "Silicon Valley of Biotechnology." Following this, the Chief Executive of the Biodesign Center, Mr. Tseng Chien-Hua, and the Manager of the Biotech Accelerator, Mr. Gu Shanyang, explained the operating models and their support for startup companies.
Representatives from six innovative startup companies associated with Taipei Medical University also shared their development journeys. These companies included ASKiN Co.,Ltd., Smart Surgery, DeepRad.AI, Dr. Chiang Chen-Hua from Shuang Ho Hospital, Associate Professor Chang Yung-Chun from the Institute of Big Data Technology and Management, and Deputy Dean Huang Tsai-Wei from the School of Nursing. These companies and academic researchers are leveraging AI technology to drive innovation in the field of healthcare.
All participants engaged in enthusiastic discussions about the development of biotechnology and expressed their commitment to maintaining close ties to explore future collaboration opportunities. The visit by Singapore Management University deepened mutual understanding and expanded the potential for collaboration, paving the way for broader cooperation in the future.
